Hi! We are subletting our large, top-floor 1BR in Lakeview during my 2017-2018 sabbatical. 850 sq. ft, all hardwood floors, beautiful vintage details, and big north and south facing windows. Great for a couple. Large living/dining room with dining table and sitting area. Separate light-filled office, also with sitting area. Bedroom with new king-size memory foam mattress. Dishwasher, microwave, and gas oven/stove in kitchen. South-facing outdoor space with furniture. Tons of storage space throughout apartment. Three washers/driers in basement. The neighbors are respectful and quiet and the landlord is extremely responsive.
Thriving, central location in Southport Corridor next to Jeni's ice cream (yay!) and the Amazon bookstore (boo!). The apartment is walking distance to a huge, brand-new Whole Foods and many other grocery stores. It’s just one block from the Southport brown line L stop and the many restaurants, shops, and cafes along Southport. Also a ten-minute walk to Wrigleyville and Lakeview east/Boystown. De Paul is fifteen minutes on public transport; or it's an easy, beautiful commute north or south on Lakeshore Drive or the L to the University of Chicago or Northwestern. Very easy street parking; we always park within one block of home. But it’s also easy to get around without a car—we share one and rarely use it in the summer.
We are looking for a tenant from October 2017 to June 2018, but exact dates are negotiable. Most of the belongings you see in these photos will be put in storage but furniture, TV, etc. will stay. Heat, garbage/recycling, and water included. You will pay gas and electric (together about $70/mo) and internet ($40/mo). No pets, no smoking. $1600/month.
